DURHAM, N.C. (WNCN) – A Durham man faces a list of charges after he was arrested in connection with an April 13 home invasion and shooting.
Okeith Taylor, 31, was arrested Wednesday following the incident where police said he forced his way into a residence with a gun.
Officers responded to the 900 block of Massey Avenue following a home invasion and shooting call.
At the scene, officers found a man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was taken to the hospital and is in stable condition.
Police said Taylor left the scene in a white vehicle. He was later dropped off at the hospital with multiple gunshot wounds. His wounds were non-life threatening, police said.
Taylor is charged with:
- Assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury
- First-degree kidnapping
- Attempted robbery
- Possession of firearm by felon
- Felonious breaking and entering
- Three counts of second degree kidnapping
- Assault on a female
He is being held in the Durham County jail under a $4 million bond.
