3 men arrested in Rocky Mount for trafficking heroin

ROCKY MOUNT, N.C. – As part of an ongoing investigation, three men have been arrested in Rocky Mount and charged with trafficking heroin and other drugs.

Information acquired during the investigation lead the Tar River Regional Task Force to approach a vehicle parked in the WalMart parking lot located at 1511 Benvenue Road in Rocky Mount on April 13. There were 15 bricks (750 bags) of heroin located inside the vehicle.

The driver, Montrell Alston, 22, of Scotland Neck, faces three counts of Trafficking in Opium, Heroin and Opiates and one count of Conspiring to Traffic.

Marquavis Jones, 20, of Enfield, faces two counts of Trafficking and one count of Conspiring while Ke’Andre Doyle, 20, of Rocky Mount, faces two counts of Trafficking and one count of Conspiring.

All three are in the Nash County Detention Center under $1 million bonds.

The Tar River Regional Task Force is comprised of State and Local Law Enforcement Agencies based in North Carolina’s 7th Prosecutorial District.
