FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. (WNCN) – Police in Fayetteville are looking for a man wanted in connection with a March home invasion in the 800 block of Rembrandt Drive.
Officers responded to the incident on March 26 around 11:15 p.m.
A preliminary investigation revealed that two masked suspects forced their way into the home. One suspect was reportedly armed with a pistol and the other with a shotgun.
Police said the suspects pointed their weapons at the occupants and demanded money. A struggle ensued between the occupants and the two suspects. During the struggle, the suspects discharged their weapons and then fled the scene. No one was hurt by the gunfire.
Detectives later identified Shakim Ravon Bazemore Young, 27, as one of the suspects. Detectives have obtained warrants for Young’s arrest, charging him with first-degree burglary, robbery with a dangerous weapon, second-degree kidnapping, and conspiracy to commit robbery with a dangerous weapon.
