3 arrested in NC home invasion, assault

RAEFORD, N.C. (WNCN) – The Hoke County Sheriff’s Office arrested three people in connection with a home invasion and assault.

On March 12, shortly after 12:30 a.m., sheriff’s deputies responded to an assault at 436 Noble Drive in Raeford.

Responding deputies learned that three suspects forced their way into the rear door of the home and assaulted the victim.

The suspects then took the victim’s property and left the home.

The sheriff’s office arrested and charged Brittany Ayers, 23; Christopher Shepard, 21; and Joseph Morse, 31 with robbery with a dangerous weapon, First-degree burglary, conspiracy, simple possession of schedule VI.

Ayers was given a $100,000 secured bond. Shepard was given art $20,000 secured bond and Morse was given a $30,000 secured bond.
