‘Transition summit’ and job fair planned at Ft. Bragg

FORT BRAGG, N.C. (WNCN) — A two-day ‘transition summit’ this week will feature panel events, recruiter training and discussions focused on improving competitive employment for Service Members, Veterans and spouses.

The event at the  Iron Mike Conference Center will include a networking reception for employers, senior leaders and job seekers.

A hiring fair and career forum will take place on the second day – April 28.

The event features key federal and state agencies, influential military leaders, innovators in the business and employer community — and local community leaders.

The summit features participation by and speakers from Fort Bragg, the US Dept. of Veterans Affairs, the US Dept. of Labor Veterans’ Employment and Training Services, US Army’s Installation Management Command and Solider for Life program, the US Dept. of Defense Transition to Veterans Program Office, the US Small Business Administration, the US Chamber of Commerce Hiring our Heroes and local chambers of commerce.
