Local Raleigh foundation helps kids with visual impairments live life to the fullest

RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCN) – Kids helping kids – that’s just what a local foundation did on Sunday by connecting children who are visually impaired to their peers.

The Bryce Martin Foundation didn’t let Sunday morning’s heavy rains stop their Kids Helping Kids Walk & Festival event.

Organizers took the party indoors to the Lake Lynn Community Center where kids were able to enjoy the bouncy house, face painting, a sensory station, as well as food and drinks.

Parents had their chance to learn about resources available to them and how they can help their children.

Bryce Martin’s family said the event is all about letting their son, and kids like him, live life to the fullest.

“They get to meet and create this community and this village and this lifestyle – basically who can support and make their life feel full just as any other child does,” mom Megan Martin said

The foundation is in its second year and is looking to grow.
