RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCN) – If you’ve waited to turn left into Crabtree Valley Mall, there’s some good news coming your way.
Construction is scheduled to begin on Monday to add a second left turn lane off Glenwood Avenue at the main entrance to Crabtree Valley Mall, the mall said Tuesday in a news release.
The goal of the new turn lane is to improve traffic flow on Glenwood Avenue by reducing the wait time for vehicles entering the mall off Glenwood Avenue from the direction of the Raleigh Beltline.
The mall said the additional lane will double the number of cars that can turn left into the mall’s main entrance during each light cycle along Glenwood Avenue.
The mall said work on the median area to accommodate the additional lane will be done at night and will not interrupt Glenwood Avenue during daylight hours. The construction is expected to take six to eight weeks.
