Farmers market kicks off in downtown Raleigh

RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCN) – The Raleigh Downtown Farmers Market kicked off its 7th season Wednesday in City Plaza on Fayetteville Street.

Wednesday’s event featured The Pit Authentic Barbecue’s food truck, as well as other grab and go lunch options, a free beer sampling with Foothills Brewing Company, and live music by Dark Water Rising.

The farmers market will host more than 40 vendors through Sept. 28, including farmers, bakers, cheese makers and more.
