3 injured in Oxford gas station shooting

Police said this vehicle was involved in the shooting incident.

OXFORD, N.C. (WNCN) – Oxford police confirmed three people were injured Friday in a shooting incident at a gas station off Interstate 85.

The shootings occurred around 10 a.m. at a Shell Station at 901 Martin Luther King Ave. and inside the attached convenience store.

Officers responded to the gas station and found blood and spent shell casings.

Two victims were found at Granville Medical Center and the third Mariah Parham Hospital in Henderson.

Police identifed the victims as:

  • Jerome Bumpass, of 121 Carolina Avenue, Oxford
  • Calvin Barnett, of 3083 Watkin Wilkinson Road, Oxford
  • Mitron Antonio Terry, of 114 Kearney Road, Oxford

Barnett was treated and released from the hospital

Oxford police are not looking for any suspects and all three victims are known to police.
