Vehicle plows through front of Moore County business

ABERDEEN, N.C. (WNCN) – A car plowed through the front of an Aberdeen business Friday in the in the Town & Country Shopping Center, the Aberdeen Times reported.

A Pontiac Sunfire drove through the front of the Singer Sew & Vac shop located at 1355 Sandhills Blvd. around noon.

The Times reported the driver hit the gas instead of the brake, sending the Sunfire completely inside of the business.

The Sunfire’s tires continued to spin after the vehicle came to a stop, leaving black marks on the floor.

Two people inside the car where transported to FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital for treatment of minor injuries.

Employees inside the business were in a backroom eating lunch. No one inside the business was injured.

Firefighters had to cut away some of the remaining storefront to get the vehicle out of the building.
