FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. (WNCN) — Hundreds of people spent the morning honoring and remembering military veterans who served in the Vietnam War. The Airborne & Special Operations Museum Foundation hosted today’s “Vietnam War Remembrance” ceremony. It’s the first of its kind in the area. Special guests and presenters included General (R) James J. Lindsay, Colonel (R) Kenneth Smith and LTC (R) Ray Schrump, a Vietnam Veteran and Prisoner of War for 1,727 days during the war. Each Vietnam Veteran was given a special gift as well.
