RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCN) – Firefighters were on scene of a house fire in the 700 block of Quarry Street in Raleigh Monday morning.
The fire was reported at the intersection of Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard and Quarry Street. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard was closed between State and Coleman streets as crews worked to put out the fire. The road was reopened by 7:30 a.m. Monday.
Heavy smoke was seen from the home as firefighter arrived.
Officials have not said what started the fire.
Firefighters said no one was home at the time and they believed the house was vacant.
