NC couple charged after their 2 children test positive for meth, deputies say

MARION, N.C. (WNCN) — A married couple in McDowell County were charged after deputies say their children tested positive for two different drugs.

Elisha Dawn Presnell, 34, and  Kenneth Chad Presnell, 31, both of 2624 Old Glenwood Road in Marion are facing charges in the case, said Detective Shane Vance of the McDowell County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies say their two boys – a 9-year-old and 1-year-old – tested positive for methamphetamine and marijuana.

The Presnells are charged with misdemeanor contributing to the delinquency of a juvenile.

There is no word on whether the children have since been removed from the home.
