RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCN) – Leaders of North Carolina’s Democratic Party say they want to know how Gov. Pat McCrory is paying for trips to appear on political talk shows to defend House Bill 2.
During a press conference Wednesday, party chair Patsy Keever announced Democrats had filed Freedom of Information Act requests to learn how the governor was funding trips to New York City to appear on FOX News and Washington to appear on Meet the Press.
“It should concern all of us that we have a governor who is not working with the Dept. of Justice, not working with the people of North Carolina, and costing the state billions of dollars,” Keever said.
Democrats say they will share the results of their findings once they get them.
