2 men with masks, gun rob Raleigh convenience store Sunday afternoon

RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCN) – An armed robbery was committed at a convenience store on New Bern Avenue Sunday afternoon, Raleigh Police said.

The robbery occurred at 1210 New Bern Ave. at the New Bern Crown Express Mart around 1:15 p.m. when two men wearing masks or bandanas around their face came into the store and demanded cash from the clerk. At least one of the men had a handgun on them, police said.

Police said the men were in quickly and out quickly. No one was injured and the men only took cash from the register and not any of the employees or customers in the store at the time of the incident.

The suspects were last seen on foot heading in the direction of Pettigrew Street.
