Mom’s 911 call: ‘Somebody just stole my car with my kids in it!’

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. (WNCN) — A newborn and a 2 year old were kidnapped when they were left alone in a running car that was stolen from outside a Pizza Hut in Fayetteville on Tuesday afternoon, according to police and a 911 call.

Below is the text of a 911 call made by the mother just after she discovered the car was missing — along with her children.

Operator: “911 what’s your emergency?”

Caller: “Somebody just stole my car with my kids in it!”

Operator: Okay ma’am where are you located?

Caller: “Pizza Hut on Boone Trail Road…I have a tracker on my car with Drive-time…but my kids are in the car!”

Operator: “Okay ma’am we’re gonna get you some help…we’re just looking for the address.  You said on Boone Trail?”

(inaudible)

Operator: “Do you know who has your car?”

Caller: “No I don’t, but my kids are in the car!”

Operator: “Okay ma’am”

Caller: “I got a newborn baby in the car!”

Operator: “Okay ma’am we’re getting you help now, okay?”

Caller: Oh my gosh I need y’all to track my car!

Operator: “What did he look like?”

Caller: “It’s a white guy.”

Operator: “Okay what’s his description?”

Operator: “How many children are in the car ma’am?”

Caller: “It’s two…a newborn and a two-year-old…I just want my kids I don’t care about the car!”

Operator: “The officers are headed that way”

Operator: “No weapons involved or mentioned, ma’am?”

Caller: “I don’t know…I just want my kids, ma’am!”

Operator: “I understand, we’re gonna get through this together okay?”

Operator:  “I need you to stay with us, okay?  We’re typing things in, but as we’re typing them we’re hollering them out and they are telling every police officer in the city that the car is missing with the children, okay? “

Caller: “Oh my God, my kids!”

Operator: “I know, ma’am, I know.”

Operator: “Now you say the car has tracking on it, give me that information, who do we call to get that?”

Caller:  “It’s Drive-time lease”

Operator: “And you don’t know who took it?”

Caller:  “No they said it was like a white homeless guy. …I was in Pizza Hut looking out at the car.”

Operator: “Okay ma’am were the keys in it or did he take the keys, too?”

Caller:  “Yes, the keys, he took the keys too….His name is Frank (inaudible) We think his name is Frank.”

Caller:  “My drivers license, everything is in it…I don’t care about none of that, I just want my kids!  I just want my kids to be safe…I don’t care about the car.  My kids are in that car!”

Operator: Okay ma’am and every police officer in the city knows that and everybody is going to be looking for the car, I promise you that.
