HILLSBOROUGH, N.C. (WNCN) – Police arrested four suspects were arrested after authorities said an argument in Hillsborough escalated into guns being fired Monday night.
Around 10:40 p.m, Hillsborough police and Orange County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a report of shots fired near Tulip Tree Drive and Locust Road.
Upon arrival, officers learned a home on Harper Road had been hit with a bullet.
While in that area, the officers heard gunfire. They then moved to the area of Dixie Avenue and Wildaro Court.
A large crowd was in that area. Authorities said numerous fights broke out.
No injuries were reported but weapons were seized.
Police said an argument that started around 5 p.m. escalated over the next few hours.
Police arrested and charged:
- Alexander “AJ” Lipford, 19, of 233 Ida St., Danville, Virginia was charged with resisting an officer. He is being held in the Orange County Jail under a $250 secured bond.
- Terrell Jamal Howell, 20, of 233 Ida St., Danville, Virginia was charged with resisting an officer and communicating threats. He is being held in the Orange County Jail under a $250 secured bond.
- Ronnie Renee Fuller, 43, of 4801 Brown Road, Rougemont, North Carolina was charged with contributing to the delinquency of a juvenile. Fuller is being held in the Orange County Jail under a $750 secured bond.
- Nathan Neal Johnson Sr., 44, of 609 Wildaro Court, charged with discharge of a firearm within the town limits and was later released from the Orange County Jail after posting a $750 secured bond.
