PINEHURST, N.C. (WNCN) – A Moore County attorney was charged Sunday after police said he beat a teen boy who was going to pick up his daughter.
Court documents say Arthur Mack Blue, a Pinehurst attorney, was charged after he pulled a 16-year-old high school student from their vehicle on May 13.
The Aberdeen Times reported the teen arrived at Blue’s home to pick up Blue’s teenage daughter without his permission.
Blue pulled the teen from the vehicle by his hair and collar and then assaulted the boy.
A warrant pertaining to the assault said Blue assaulted the teen with “with a deadly weapon, a club, hands and feet, by striking the victim with a club about the body, stomping and kicking the victim about the face and body, and slamming the victims head into the pavement,” the Aberdeen Times reported.
A warrant also says Blue told the teen, “I want to kill you, I want you to die,” during the assault.
Blue was charged with misdemeanor assault with a deadly weapon and misdemeanor communicating threats.
Blue was released on a written promise to appear in court and an order not to have contact with the victim.
He is scheduled to appear in court May 24.
