Section of Wade Avenue back open after crash

RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCN) – A section of Wade Avenue in Raleigh is back open after it was shut down for hours after a car slammed into a power pole Saturday morning.

According to police, a car driving on Wade Avenue crashed into a power pole on the section of the road between Faircloth Street and Dogwood Lane just after 4 a.m.

The road was shut down in both directions between Faircloth Street and Dogwood Lane for several hours.

The road was reopened by 11:15 a.m.
