HOPE MILLS, N.C. (WNCN) – Three men have been arrested and charged in connection with the murder of a 16-year-old male that occurred on May 28 in Hope Mills.

At approximately 8:15 a.m. on May 28, Hope Mills Police officers responded to a dirt road portion of McKinnon Farm Road regarding a victim in medical distress.

Upon arrival, officers found the dead teen who appeared to be a victim of a gunshot wound.

During the investigation, detectives were able to determine that the murder was drug-related and that the victim, who police won’t identify because of his age, was taken by force from a friend’s house and eventually taken to the dirt road and shot to death.

Police identified three men that were directly involved in the murder, and on June 2, detectives located the men inside a home in the 2700 block of Alden Drive in Fayetteville and took them into custody.

The men, identified as Devon Scott Hall, 18, Darian Rashad Revels, 20, and Daniel Worth Hall Jr., 19, all of Fayetteville, are currently being held in the Cumberland County Detention Center.

Devon Hall is being held under no bond on one count of felony first-degree murder, one count of felony first-degree kidnapping, and one count of felony robbery with a dangerous weapon.

Revels is also being held under no bond on the same charges as Hall.

Daniel Hall is being held on a $250,000 bond and has been charged with felony accessory after the fact to first-degree murder.

The investigation is ongoing and more arrests are likely, police said.
