Durham County deputy’s vehicle hits bicyclist

DURHAM, N.C. (WNCN) – A Durham County deputy’s vehicle collided with a bicyclist Friday afternoon off South Roxboro Street, the sheriff’s office said.

Around 5 p.m., the sheriff’s deputy was exiting a parking deck adjacent to the Durham County Courthouse when their vehicle hit the cyclist.

The cyclist was transported to the hopsital for treatment. Their injuries did not appear to be life threatening, the sheriff’s office said.
