Kids found living in SC house with meth lab, deputies say

BOILING SPRINGS, S.C. (WSPA) – An Upstate man is accused of making methamphetamine in the presence of children, and deputies say the children’s mother knew.

Spartanburg County deputies say they found a meth lab Wednesday at a home on Hanging Rock Road.

Richard Glen Beck, 46, of Boiling Springs has been charged with manufacturing methamphetamine, unlawful disposal of methamphetamine waste and two counts each of manufacturing methamphetamine with minor.

April Fogle, 34, of Boiling Springs has been charged with two counts of child neglect and one count of manufacturing methamphetamine.

Deputies found several items used to manufacture meth and trash throughout the home, according to an incident report.

During the investigation, deputies learned that Beck and Fogle were in a relationship and that Fogle and her two young children had been living off and on at the home for two months.

Fogle admitted to deputies that she knew meth was made at the home, a report states.

The children were taken to Spartanbug Regional Medical Center to be evaluated.
