Kids enjoy Father’s Day at Raleigh Children’s Carnival

RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCN) — It may be Father’s Day, but Sunday, the kids got to have all the fun downtown.

Every third Sunday, the Raleigh Times bar hosts a Children’s Carnival, with face painting, bounce houses, games and more.

Sunday’s weather was perfect, and a lot of dads were there with their children.

“Father’s Day is the most important day of the year for me, because it lets me know that throughout the year I am still doing the right thing if she is smiling and well taken care of.  It also gives me a sense of accomplishment,” said Marcus Dorsey, a father of a 4-year-old.

The bar hosts this event as a way to give back to the community.

They close Hargett Street from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. every third Sunday.
