GREENVILLE, N.C. (WNCT) – A routine traffic stopped turned into a $360,000 methamphetamine bust on June 17 in Greenville.
Roberto Ortiz, 32, was stopped by officials on S. Memorial Drive near Arlington Boulevard for having a brake light out.
A Greenville Police K-9 was brought out and searched Ortiz’ vehicle. The K-9 prompted Greenville officers to find 12 pounds of crystal methamphetamine inside a bag in the trunk.
Ortiz was charged with multiple counts of trafficking in crystal methamphetamine.
He’s being held in the Pitt County Detention Center under a $2 million bond.
