GREENSBORO, NC (WFMY) – The North Carolina Highway Patrol said a Greensboro man died after a brief police chase that happened Friday night.
The man’s been identified as 29-year-old Demario Polk.
Troopers said they spotted a red Camaro cut through a parking lot at high speeds so they followed him.
Troopers said Polk was driving up to 130 miles per hour. They said he lost control and drove into an embankment, and was not wearing a seat belt.
The accident happened on Glendale Drive between Rehobeth Church Road and Pine Ridge Drive.
Investigators said Polk had a suspended license and six outstanding warrants. He was out on bond.
