BLACKSBURG, S.C. (WSPA) – A Blacksburg man has been charged after he lost several fingers during an explosion in Cherokee County.
Deputies arrested 40-year-old Arnold Eugene Dingmon and charged him with possession/manufacture of a bomb after he was released from the hospital on Sunday.
The sheriff’s office was called to a home on Mullinax Circle last Thursday for reports of a possible gunshot victim. In the home, officers found suspicious devices and material.
Dingmon was flown to Spartanburg Medical Center for his injuries. Spartanburg County Bomb Squad, SLED, and ATF agents were called to assist.
The remaining devices inside the home were taken away and detonated in a safe area.
