DUDLEY, N.C. (WNCN) — A young woman in Wayne County is facing several charges after deputies say they caught her with meth.
Alyssa Marie Lane, 21, of Barnwell Road in Dudley was arrested on Tuesday, the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office said.
The arrest happened after officers with the Wayne County Drug Unit were contacted by the North Carolina Department of Probation and Parole to assist with the search of an offender, deputies say.
During the search of the residence, officers found multiple items of paraphernalia, methamphetamine and schedule IV (Xanex), deputies say.
Lane was charged with felony possession of methamphetamine, possession of schedule iv controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and two counts of probation violation, according to deputies.
She was held in the Wayne County Jail on an $8,000 secured bond.
