Goldsboro teen found shot to death on the side of the road

GOLDSBORO, N.C. (WNCN) – A teenager was found shot to death on the side of the road Friday morning in Goldsboro, police said.

Goldsboro police responded to a shots fired call in the 400 block of East Holly Street around 2:20 a.m. Friday. When officers arrived on scene, they found a male lying on the side of the road and suffering from a gunshot wound. The male, identified as 17-year-old Montez Lamar Wilson, of Goldsboro, was pronounced dead at the scene by EMS crews.

The shooting is under investigation and anyone with any information is asked to call investigator A. Tilghman at 919-580-4218 or investigator J. Sturgill at 919-580-4211.

Callers will remain anonymous and if your information leads to a felony arrest you will be given a cash reward for the information.
