Suspect arrested in 2nd unrelated Goldsboro shooting in less than 12 hours

GOLDSBORO, N.C. (WNCN) – Goldsboro police responded to a shooting call at 12:30 p.m., 10 hours after another shooting, and caught a male running from the scene.

Police were able to take Trevis Steven Kinsey, 27, of Goldsboro into custody as another officer located victim Albert Lee Williams III, 36, of Dudley in the doorway of a home on 907 North Carolina Street.

Williams, suffering from a gunshot wound, was transported by EMS to Wayne Memorial Hospital where he is listed in stable condition.

Kinsey has been charged with attempted first-degree murder, possession of a firearm by a felon and possession of a stolen fiream. He is in the Wayne County Jail under a $756,000 secured bond.

Police say the shooting is not connect to the homicide that occurred earlier in the morning on Holly Street.
