KINSTON, N.C. (WNCT) — A state representative finds himself on the other side of the law, charged with DWI.
The Kinston Police Department told WNCT that officers arrested George Washington Graham, 67, on Sunday night just before 8 p.m.
Officers pulled him over at the intersection of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard and East Lenoir Avenue.
Graham, a Democrat, represents District 12, which covers Craven, Greene, and Lenoir Counties.
Police say he paid his $500 bond. Graham’s next court appearance is September 13.
WNCT’s reached out to the representative, but have not received a phone call back.
