Young woman dies more than a month after SC crash

FOUNTAIN INN, S.C. (WNCN) — A Simpsonville woman has died after she lost control of her vehicle and overturned in Greenville County in late May.

Jaelyn Whisler, 20, crashed her car on Nash Mill Road at Tall Pines Road in Fountain Inn back in May, according to the Greenville County Coroner.

She was taken to Greenville Memorial Trauma Center and was treated for her injuries, the coroner says.

The crash happened on May 24, according to WFXG-TV.

Whisler was pronounced dead at the trauma center early Monday morning.

Whisler attended Brashier Charter High and later Francis Marion University in Florence, according to her Facebook profile.

This case is still under investigation by the Greenville County Coroner’s office.
