Young man shot 3 times in NC road rage incident

GREENVILLE, N.C. (WNCT) — The Greenville Police Department is asking for the public’s help finding the person involved for a Friday night shooting on Evans Street.

The incident happened around 9:20 p.m. near Martinsborough Road.

Police say the victim was found inside in his car with three gunshot wounds. He was taken to Vidant Medical Center to be treated.

Investigators say that because of the nature of the crime and the stage of the investigation, police are not releasing the victim’s name at this time. However, the victim is described as 20-year-old male.

Investigators say it appears the motive for the shooting was road rage.

Police believe the car driven by the suspect(s) is a gold colored SUV.
