RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCN) — A crash closed lanes on I-40 heading east in Raleigh for about 45 minutes on Monday night, the NC DOT says.

The wreck happened around 9:20 p.m. in the eastbound lanes of I-40 at Exit 295, which is Gorman Street, authorities say.

The left lanes of I-40 were closed in the area and officials say that the “impact on traffic is high,” according to the NC DOT traffic website.
