RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCN) – A 22-year-old man has been charged in the death of a 2-year-old who died May 19 on Somerset Mill Lane in Raleigh.
William Lee Bell was charged with murder in the death of Chase Jordan Eaddy, police said.
William Bell lived at the address where the crime occurred.
He surrendered to authorities Thursday at the Wake County Detention Center.
The incident was reported just before 2 p.m. Thursday, when Raleigh police officers were dispatched to a “code blue” call at a home in the 5200 block of Somerset Mill Lane.
Two days later, police released a short statement saying the death of the boy was a homicide.
“The death has been determined to be a homicide. Follow-up investigative work remains underway. Charges have not yet been filed,” police said in a press release.
