PARIS (AP) — Islamic State says a church attack in France was carried out by two ‘soldiers’ from the group.

Two attackers killed a priest and took hostages in a church near the Normandy city of Rouen before being shot to death by authorities Tuesday.

French officials say another person inside the church was seriously injured and is hovering between life and death, but police managed to rescue three people.

The identities of the attackers and motive for the attack are unclear.
