NEWPORT NEWS, Va. (WAVY) — Newport News Police are looking to identify a man who is suspected of buying several thousand dollars worth of merchandise with a stolen credit card.

The man reportedly bought the watch with a fraudulent ID and a credit card that was stolen from a York County man.

According to police, the man in the surveillance photos went into Hauser’s Jewelers on July 13. Officials say he stole a Rolex watch valued at over $13,000.

Police say the man in the photos was later seen buying two MacBook Pros, valued at $5,000 each, at a Best Buy on Independence Boulevard in Virginia Beach.

He also attempted another transaction at a Best Buy on Princess Anne Road, which police say was denied.
