WHITEVILLE, N.C. (WECT) — Raven White, a 16-year-old who went missing and drowned in Lake Waccamaw Tuesday, is not only being remembered for her laughter and wonderful personality, but also for her love of Lilly Pulitzer.
The Print Studio at Lilly Pulitzer was so moved by Raven White’s story, and messages from friends and family, that they created a print in honor of her.
The company donated bags in the print they created for her, as well as the skirt going in her casket to Chadbourn Florist. The items will be used in her funeral on Sunday.
Raven’s friends say she was always smiling and could make anyone happy.
“If we were upset, she never ignored you. She would keep up with you, she would check in with you, she would ask, she would make sure you were alright,” said friend Allie Nelson.
The Western Prong Baptist Church in Whiteville was packed Wednesday night, filled with people wearing bright colors and floral prints, all for Raven,
“She loved Lilly Pulitzer, that’s what this is in honor of, she loved fashion,” stated friend, Logan Jackson.
