BOILING SPRINGS, S.C. (WSPA) – Spartanburg County Deputies say they have arrested a man who had removed his ankle monitor while confined to home detention.

30-year-old Mark Wayne Hyman was originally arrested on drug charges on June 14 and had been released to home detention on June 27.

Deputies say they were alerted to his escape on July 4.

Hyman’s motorcycle was spotted at the home of his girlfriend, 23-year-old Megan Leigh Dubesko, on Tartan Court in Boiling Springs around 10:30 a.m. Thursday.

Hyman and Dubesko were taken into custody without incident around 2 p.m. after investigators obtained a search warrant for the home.

Hyman is being charged with Escape while Dubesko will be charged with Harboring an Escaped Convict.

Spartanburg County SWAT was called to the scene as a precaution. Deputies say Dubesko had been questioned about Hyman the day before but she denied knowing his location.

Deputies say they will also be charged for some methamphetamine that was discovered in the bedroom the pair were found.
