LUMBERTON, N.C. (WBTW) – The Robeson County Sheriff’s Office is searching for a suspect after a Rowland man was found shot inside a running car on Woodland Avenue early Friday morning.
An arrest warrant for first-degree murder has been issued for Quentin Jamale Williams, 27, of Lumberton for the shooting death of a man.
The male has been identified as Taurus Locklear, 29, of Rowland.
Major Anthony Thompson with the sheriff’s office says at 12:51 a.m. on Friday, a call was received about a suspicious vehicle being parked behind a home on Tanya Lane in Lumberton. Deputies with the Robeson County Sheriff’s Office responded to the area and found a vehicle on Woodland Avenue with the engine running and the headlights on.
Upon checking the vehicle, the body of a male was found inside the car with a gunshot wound, confirms Major Thompson. The death is being investigated as a homicide.
