DURHAM, N.C. (WNCN) – Durham police have arrested one man and are still searching for another in the shooting death of a 21-year-old man July 18.
Larry Lee James, 38, of Tar River Road in Creedmoor was arrested Thursday without incident in Graham by U.S. Marshals in connection with the shooting death of Kevin Powell.
Powell was found “with multiple gunshot wounds” around 8:45 p.m. in the 1100 of Linwood Avenue, Durham Police said.
Malik Shequan Boyce, 36, of Wilkins Road in Bahama and James have been charged with murder in connection with Powell’s death.
Durham police are still searching for Boyce.
Durham police said the shooting was not a random act.
