Man stabbed with metal pole, seriously injured in Hoke County

RAEFORD, N.C. (WNCN) – A man was stabbed in the abdomen with a metal pole and suffered life-threatening injuries Wednesday, the Hoke County Sheriff’s Office said.

According to officials, Dolan Ryan Harbison underwent surgery for serious injuries after he was stabbed with a metal pole during an altercation.

On Wednesday, sheriff’s deputies responded 1478 Ashemont Road in response to a person suffering a cut wound.

When they arrived on scene, they found Harbison suffering from a stab wound in the abdomen.

Evidence and witness statements showed that a suspect, Jason Cummings, used a metal pole to stab Harbison during an altercation, officials said.

Cummings was charged with assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury.

Harbison’s condition has not been released.
