ATLANTA (WNCN) – A Salvadoran MS-13 gang member was deported from the United States Friday so he can face a murder charge in his home country, immigration officials said.
Melvin Eduardo Ramos, 34, was removed from the U.S. by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s Enforcement and Removal Operations.
In October 2015, Ramos was taken into custody by ERO after he was convicted of driving while impaired in Iredell County, officials said.
A federal judge ordered Ramos to be removed from the U.S. May 23.
He is wanted on an aggravated murder charged in El Salvador.
