EASTOVER, N.C. (WNCN) — Authorities are seeking public’s assistance in identifying a man who tried to break into an ATM at a local branch of the State Employee’s Credit Union in Cumberland County.
The incident happened on Sunday, August 14 at the State Employees Credit Union ATM located at 3749 Dunn Road in Eastover, the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office said.
The ATM was damaged during the suspect’s attempt to steal money from the machine, officials say.
The State Employees Credit Union was able to provide a copy of the video captured before an alarm that notified the Sheriff’s Office.
The photographs depict a black male, approximately 5 feet 8 inches tall who was wearing a white in color sleeveless shirt and who has a tattoo on his right forearm.
The images also show what appears to be a dark in color Ford Taurus in the background as the suspect pulls up to the front of the ATM.
