2 killed are identified after Fayetteville apartment complex shooting, police say

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. (WNCN) – Fayetteville police have identified the two men killed and two additional men injured in a shooting , in the Southwood Apartment Complex early Sunday morning.

Fayetteville Police Officers responded to a report of a shooting in front of the apartments at 4:53 a.m. where they found two bodies with gunshot wounds.

The identities of the victims are Derrick McClain, 29, and Derrick Robinson, 27.

Two other men, Darrell Hinton, 27, and Kenneth Shaw, 28, suffered non-life threatening injuries in the shooting, police said

Officials say the suspect or suspects are still unknown.

Investigators say the motive for the shooting is unknown.

Police are requesting anyone with information to contact them. If persons were present or heard any information prior to the shooting, they are encouraged to call and can remain anonymous.
