DUDLEY, N.C. (WNCN) — Two women and a man were shot during a domestic dispute on Monday afternoon, Wayne County authorities say.
The incident was reported around 12:10 p.m. at 105 Carraway Creek Drive in Dudley, according to an email from Wayne County Sheriff’s Office.
The call was originally dispatched as a robbery, but deputies say it was a domestic-related incident that began on Sunday when a woman was made to leave her home.
Charges are pending against the man who was shot, Danielle Duboris Vann, 35, of the Carraway Creek Drive address, deputies say.
The two women who were shot were identified as Valencia Nukieta Hussey, 31, of the Carraway Creek Drive home and her mother Isephine Lofton Garner, 66, of the 200 block of E. Pollock Street in Mount Olive, deputies said
The shooting stemmed from an incident on Sunday that caused Hussey “to leave this residence and stay at another residence for the night,” deputies said
“Hussey along with her mother …Isephine Lofton Garner, returned to 105 Carraway Creek Drive to retrieve some of her personal belongings,” on Monday, deputies said.
“During this time, Danielle Vann walked out of the residence and returned with a firearm and confronted the two females. The investigation determined that Danielle Vann then shot the two females.”
Valencia Nukieta Hussey was shot in the chest and Isephine Lofton Garner was shot in the neck.
Deputies did not say how Vann, who had a gunshot wound in his leg, was shot.
All three were admitted to Wayne Memorial Hospital.
