Man’s pickup truck taken at gunpoint in Fayetteville

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. (WNCN) — A man had his pickup truck taken at gunpoint at a gas station in Fayetteville last week, officials say.

The suspects involved were caught on video during the incident at 2:19 a.m. Friday at the Kangaroo gas station at 7910 Raeford Road, Fayetteville Police said in an email

“… the victim parked his vehicle at the gas station and exited his vehicle to enter the business. As he did so, two suspects ran up to the victim, pointed a handgun at the victim, and demanded the victim’s vehicle keys,” police said.

The suspects then got in to the victim’s vehicle and fled the area with the vehicle.

On the video, the man with a gun approaches the driver first and another suspect appears seconds later.

The victim’s vehicle has since been recovered.
