UPDATE! NC woman missing a week is found, alert canceled
TAYLORTOWN, N.C. (WNCN) — The Moore County Sheriffs Office is currently looking for a missing woman in the Taylortown area.
Christy Pearson Wills was last seen on Sunday in the area of Juniper Lake Road in Taylortown, according to the Aberdeen Times.
On Sunday afternoon, officials were conducting a ground search in the area of Juniper Lake Road and Big Rock Road. A helicopter from the NC State Highway Patrol is also assisting in the search.
Wills is described as 40 years old, white, 5-foot-6 and weighing 150 pounds. She was last seen wearing a black top and either blue jean shorts or blue jeans.
The Moore County Sheriff’s Department, Foxfire Police Department K-9, Pinehurst Fire Department, Eastwood Fire Department, West End Fire & Rescue, Moore County Public Safety, NC Department of Corrections K9 team, and a K-9 team from Chatham County responded to help in the search.
