FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. (WNCN) – A 30-year-old man is wanted for breaking into vehicles in Fayetteville, according to the Fayetteville Police Department.
Detectives with the FPD’s Property Crimes unit are seeking assistance from the public in locating Michael Devon Preston.
Police say Preston broke into vehicles along the Rosehill Road and Murchison Road corridors.
Detectives charged Preston with breaking and entering offenses that happened on Aug. 25 and Aug. 28.
Police said the suspect broke into the vehicles, stole credit cards and used them at local businesses in the area.
Preston has been charged with two counts of breaking and entering a motor vehicle, two counts of felonious larceny, two counts of financial card theft and two counts of financial card fraud.
The suspect’s last known address is 714 Amber Drive in the Tiffany Pines subdivision, according to police.
