Trump and Biden to make appearances in NC on Monday

ASHEVILLE, N.C. (WNCN) – Vice President Joe Biden and Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump will visit different cities in North Carolina on Monday.

Trump be having a rally at the U.S. Cellular Center in Asheville.  Biden will appear in Charlotte and later will be at a private fundraiser in Raleigh.

The free Trump rally starts at 6 p.m.

You can register to get up to two tickets per mobile number of the event.

Trump campaign officials say tickets are available on a first come, first serve basis.


Clinton, Trump and their running mates Mike Pence and Tim Kaine have been frequent visitors to North Carolina, considered among the handful of presidential battleground states.

Meanwhile, Biden will be in Charlotte to speak in public about how businesses and community colleges work together help people rise into the middle class.

Biden’s visit on Monday to Central Piedmont Community College seeks to highlight President Barack Obama administration’s efforts to support business-college partnerships. The trip was announced on Friday.

Biden already had been scheduled to participate in a private event Monday in Raleigh to raise money for the Democratic Governors Association.

The group is working to elect Democratic gubernatorial candidates like Attorney General Roy Cooper, who is seeking to unseat Republican Gov. Pat McCrory.
