Man shot and killed in Durham, body found on sidewalk

DURHAM, N.C. (WNCN) – A 34-year-old man was shot and killed on East Main Street in Durham Monday evening, police said.

UPDATE: Durham police offering rewards for information in two 2016 fatal shootings

The incident was reported in the 900 block of East Main Street shortly after 7 p.m.

Officers found Larry Donnell Owens, 34, of Durham dead from a gunshot wound, officials said.

Owens was found on the sidewalk in front of garages and town homes near the intersection of Elm Street.

Police are investigating the homicide. No charges have been filed at this time.
